Your use of the website is conditional on your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding. The terms and conditions of this Website may be updated or amended from time to time without prior notice. They were last posted in November 2018.
UK Street Dance Championships (UKSDC) acts as an events website for two annual street dance competitions, where teachers and dancers can enter to compete.
UKSDC has made in good faith best efforts to ensure that the information contained within the Website is up to date, correct and complete. In the event of inadvertent or occasional errors ‘UKSDC’ accepts no liability. Further, the Company cannot accept any liability for loss of any kind resulting from reliance on the information or opinions provided within the Website nor from any computer viruses and other malicious programs on the Website despite the Company’s reasonable precautions against them.
UKSDC intends to make the Website available 24 hours a day, but cannot be held liable for any non-availability or error regardless of whether the circumstances are inside or outside the Company’s control.
The copyright and all other intellectual property rights, including logos, trademarks and brand names, in the material on this Website are owned by ‘UKSDC’. Any reproduction or use of extracts from the Website incorporated into or stored in any form for any purpose is prohibited without the written or express permission of ‘UKSDC’ and its directors.
The Site and all materials and information thereon are provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, we do not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatsoever with regard to the website or any information or service provided through the website. To the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be liable to users for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever and howsoever arising (including due to our negligence) out of or in connection with the viewing, use or performance of the website or its contents, whether due to inaccuracy, error, omission or any other cause and whether on the part of UKSDC or its servants or agents, or any other person.
You are responsible for ensuring that your computer system meets all relevant technical specifications necessary to use the website and is compatible with the website. You also acknowledge and agree that we do not guarantee or warrant that any material available for downloading from the website will be free from infection, viruses and/or other code that has contaminating or destructive properties. Ownership of Rights
All material and images are owned by or registered to UKSDC. Any use of this website or its content is prohibited without our prior permission.
As a condition of entry to the competitions, entrants are giving their permission to UKSDC to video and photograph at UKSDC events for marketing purposes. This includes but is not limited to, publicity on UKSDC and partner websites; inclusion as editorial features and adverts in 3rdparty magazines and media; use on UKSDC social media channels including You Tube.
Dancers represent their dance school and conduct at the UKSDC competitions should be representative of this. Any bad behaviour may result in exclusion from the competitions. Any dance moves are carried out at each entrants own risk and UKSDC will accept no liability for any accident or injury. If entrants have a medical condition which could be triggered or affected by their entrance into the competition, they enter at their own risk and UKSDC will accept no liability.
On entering your school into the UKSDC competitions, you agree to accept full control and responsibility for your dancers and parents and their code of conduct at the competitions.
The following terms and conditions apply to a competition booking:
- All payments are non-refundable and a cancellation 12 weeks or less prior to the event date will incur a liability to pay the full amount of the event ticket.
- If the event is cancelled or postponed then a full refund of the ticket price will be provided or a transfer of funds to the purchase of a ticket(s) to an alternative event.
- If the event venue is changed but the dates remain the same, no refund will be issued.
- Dance teachers and/or parents and guardians accept responsibility for any child / children under 18 during the entire event. Dance teachers will be the first point of contact for each entrant.
- Any damage caused by an individual/school at the event may lead to a claim for compensation by UKSDC.
- UKSDC accepts no liability for any loss or damage of property at the events.
